dc.description.abstract | Numerous studies have been presented on the correlation between mothers’ education level and household income with children’s education attainment. However, there is no single empirical study in Cambodia using the 2011 Socio-Economic Survey data to analyze the effects of mothers’ education, occupation status and household income, on children’s education attainment and school attendance, particularly with a focus on the child’s gender. The study results reveal that mothers’ education level and household income positively affect children’s education attainment. More interestingly, girls have better education attainment than boys when they do not drop out, yet, girls have a higher probability of dropping out of school compared to boys | - |
